For the fourth consecutive time, we were delighted to hold our traditional financial outlook webinar offered by our patron UBS and entitled

The 2020s have so far been characterized by solid performance of the global economy and asset markets, yet also by sizable geopolitical tensions. Is this what we should expect for 2025 and beyond? What would this mean for Latin America in terms of opportunities and risks?
Our Speaker
It is a great pleasure to welcome as our speaker once again Alejo Czerwonko, Chief Investment Officer, Emerging Markets Americas, at UBS Global Wealth Management.
He is a member of the CIO Americas Management Committee and the Wealth Management Latin America Management Committee. Alejo is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Wilson Center’s Latin America Program, the leading global think tank based in Washington, D.C. Alejo frequently appears on Bloomberg Television, CNBC, and CNN, and regularly contributes to financial publications including the Financial Times, Bloomberg, Reuters, and the Wall Street Journal.
Alejo earned a PhD in economics from Columbia University. He also holds a degree in economics and finance from Tilburg University and Universidad del CEMA. He is an Adjunct Professor at Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs, where he teaches a course on emerging markets.

We are delighted that Andreas Mastai, Managing Director and Lead Market Head, Central, Andean and South LatAm at UBS AG, has accepted to address our viewers with introductory statements.
Andreas rejoined UBS AG in November 2023 after leading the Swiss booked Wealth Management businesses of Nothern Latin America (incl. Mexico) at Credit Suisse since 2016.
Andreas has extensive international experience working half of his career in leadership and client relationship roles for UBS AG in Buenos Aires, New York and Miami. He is a growth and result oriented leader with more than 30 years of experience in International Wealth Management.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Applied Science in Zurich, a master’s degree in digital Excellence in Financial Services at HWZ Zurich as well as several management education programs around the world. He is fluent in German, English and Spanish.
