Dear Members, Partners and Friends,
LATCAM and the Swiss-Asian Chamber of Commerce (SACC) together with its cooperation partners AFRY, Agile Wind, Hyundai, Macquarie, and Voltiana Industria Italiana Idrogeno Verde Srl, were delighted to organize an exclusive joint event (panel discussion and luncheon) in Davos during the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting:
Green Technology Forum:
No Time To Wait – Clean Technologies And Solutions For A Decarbonised Future
January 15, 2024, 10.15 – 14.00
Mountain Plaza Hotel, Oberwiesstrasse 3, CH – 7270 Davos (LINK)
This forum focused on clean technology and solutions to reach a carbon net zero commitment and to boost the circular economy. Green energy looks set to be part of the future of the world, offering a cleaner alternative to many of today’s energy sources. Readily replenished, these energy sources are not just good for the environment but are also leading to job creation and becoming economically viable as developments continue. Fossil fuels do not provide a sustainable solution to our energy needs. By developing a variety of green energy solutions, we can create a totally sustainable future for our energy provision, without damaging the planet we all live on.
The event featured several speakers in sequence from innovative companies who spoke about the necessity of creating smart cities and saving the planet together. We also witnessed a keynote address by the President of Sri Lanka, H.E. Ranil Wickremesinghe. The approx. 80 guests included LATCAM participants from Julius Bär, UBS, Nestlé, Zurich Insurance, Geobrugg, Lombardi Group, The Washington Post, and ZHAW School of Management and Law.
LATCAM was represented by the two Vice-Presidents Linda Walker von Graffenried (who held a short welcome address) and Gabriela Lippe-Holst, Treasurer Andrea Covini, Honorary Ambsassador Dr. Philippe Nell, and CEO Tatjana Gaspar.
