With almost 50 years in the country, Nestlé Uruguay has transformed its business model since the inauguration of a new state of the art factory, distribution center, and head offices in a single site. In a country that doesn’t produce coffee, Nestlé Uruguay has developed a strong capacity to export it with added value. It is the only factory in LATAM that produces roast and ground coffee Starbucks at Home for domestic consumption and export. This dynamic requires not only a solid know-how, agility, and adaptability, but also an innovative mindset that fuels continuous growth. Its team is passionately working on fostering a culture of innovation, leveraging transformational opportunities, and achieving strategic goals while staying competitive in an ever-evolving market.

Today, ABB is struggling with many of the changes taking place in the world, such as rising emissions, water and energy scarcity, and challenges related to workforce skills. The company is demonstrating that the power of bold ideas and pioneering technologies can overcome these challenges, step by step, together with the industrial and social ecosystem. In this presentation, the main innovations that ABB has implemented or is is implementing in Chile to achieve the desire for sustainable development will be described.
How a 100-year old company is building a unique innovation ecosystem: SICPA and the Economy of Trust
Founded in 1927 in Lausanne, SICPA is a Swiss family-owned technology company with an international footprint, whose purpose is to Enable Trust where transactions, interactions and products across the physical and digital worlds are based on protected, unforgeable and verifiable data. SICPA is notably the market leader of ink-based security features for banknotes, identity and value documents, and more broadly a long-trusted partner to governments with a wide range of solutions, combining material and digital security features, enabling them to protect national sovereignty and economic resilience.
In 2023, SICPA inaugurated a new campus focused on creating an innovation ecosystem around the Economy of Trust. This campus is now home to startups, research groups and corporates all collaborating to bring to market new solutions in advanced analytics, cybersecurity, AI and all aspects of digital infrastructures for governments and large companies. Elisabeth and Pascal will explain the drivers behind the creation of the ecosystem and share examples of collaborations ongoing.
