LATCAM Event Invitation
marking the official launch of the LATCAM Youth Committee
Dear Members, Partners and Friends,
We were proud and delighted to officially launch our new Chapter, the LATCAM Youth Committee (“LYC”).
The LYC aims at bringing together professionals and students who are between 20 and 40 years young, are based in Switzerland, and have a strong connection to or interest in Latin America.
We are also cordially welcoming all those who have a professional or academic network of youngs and want to contribute to make the LYC grow and prosper. Please start by forwarding this information to the qualifying youngs you know!
The highly motivated Organizational Team is planning a number of networking events throughout 2023 focusing on topics that are particularly relevant to younger generations.
To mark the occasion of this launch, we invited you to our first LYC event
Sustainability in Action:
Barry Callebaut’s race to make sustainable chocolate the norm
featuring as our guest speaker
Luciano Di Biase

Barry Callebaut is one of the world’s leading chocolate producers.
As the current Global Head of Sustainability Finance, Monitoring and Evaluation of Barry Callebaut, Luciano Di Biase co-leads the company’s agenda on sustainability, which aims to make sustainable chocolate the norm by 2025 by eradicating child labor from the supply shain, lifting more than 500’000 cocoa farmers out of poverty, becoming carbon and forest positive and having 100% sustainable ingredients in all products.
Luciano brings more than 12 years of finance and strategic business partner experience in different industries such as FMCG, tobacco, luxury, Telco and food across different geographies, cultures and economies.
