LATCAM’s Business Seminar on Colombia and Peru took place on October 17, 2016 at SIX Convention Point, Zurich. LATCAM teamed up with chamber member BBVA (Schweiz) with the aim to give an up-to-date view of the Peruvian and Colombian economies, sectors of opportunity for trade and investment, and best practices of doing business in both countries.
Luis Sanz de Andino, Director Global Wealth, BBVA (Schweiz) and Richard Friedl, Latcam President opened the event and gave the floor to the Peruvian Ambassador, HE Ambassador Thierry Roca-Rey Deladrier, and the Colombian Ambassador, HE Ambassador Julian Jaramillo Escobar introduced the topics.
Juan Ruiz, Chief Economist for South America, BBVA Group made an in-depth assessment of Latam and the Pacific Alliance (“the true Latam Giant”), of Peru as one of the fasted growing economies in Latam and of Colombia and its resilience to sizable external shocks.
LATCAM member Ulrich Hinterberger, Switzerland Global Enterprise (SGE) discussed the Market Development Approaches for SME’s in Peru and Colombia.
Michael McCrae, Managing Director, Netcentric, presented the reason of establishing an office in Latam and in particular a Hub in Medellin, Colombia.
Ulrich Frei, Executive President, FUNDES Latin America showcased the Opportunities in the Value Added Chain in Peru and Colombia.
