After the AGM, all our participants could enjoy a wonderful aperitif in the garden, followed by a seated luncheon in the Restaurant Belvoirpark in Zurich.

We were honored to welcome as a keynote speaker Paul Bulcke, Chairman of the Board of Nestle (CV). Mr Bulcke’s inspirational keynote address was very well received by all participants: Mr Bulcke told us that, at the beginning of his carrer over 40 years ago, Latin America was the continent of the future. He spoke about the challenges of Latin America and that all the major challenges of humanity need collaboration. But he also emphasized the chances and opportunities, e.g. the great potential lying in new energy, that needs to be managed well. After all, Latin America carries 30% of the world’s raw material. The awareness of the resources, however, is not enough: people need to be motivated to look after them. Instead of short-vision populism, what is needed is long-term framing, sitting out the transformation and introducing sustainable policies. Latin America is (still today) the continent of the future.
