A delegation of Latin American business persons visiting Switzerland on the occasion of the World Congress of Chambers was received in Geneva by LATCAM President Ramon Esteve and his brother Marcos Esteve at the premises of Banque Héritage.

Situaciones de emergencia como huracanes, inundaciones, deslizamientos de tierra, terremotos, incendios forestales y pandemias tienen un impacto profundo en la vida humana, pero también pueden provocar interrupciones graves en el comercio y en las cadenas de suministro. Este dato cobra especial relevancia para América Latina y el Caribe (ALC), pues según la Oficina de Coordinación de Asuntos Humanitarios de las Naciones Unidas (OCHA),la región es la segunda más propensa a desastres en el mundo.
En ese contexto, elaboramos un conjunto de herramientas para las administraciones de aduanas y las entidades de control fronterizo con el objetivo de facilitar la entrada y salida de mercancías críticas durante situaciones de emergencia con el fin de mejorar la resiliencia de la región ante los eventos que impactan el bienestar socioeconómico de la población.
